In some cases, you may have to reset the old master code to the default. Now the connection flickers back and firth between Dorito of death and back to functional, maybe 10 times? then it just totally went full dorito and I needed to do full psu shut down trick. You may have seen a little yellow triangle pop on your ADT alarm system before. I did get a new symptom this time though. sadly, headed in the wrong direction though. It seemed to have sped up the issue all together, but still close to the random 2 week failure window. ![]() This time I was using the beta version of the bios that was working to fix the problem. It is seriously starting to look like this is an issue I will be dealing with approx every 2-3 weeks.Ģ/3/22 (12 days after last event) It happened again. The trick I mentioned above corrected the problem just as it did before. They have not come out with a firmware patch yet to fix it. Corsair please figure this out a firmware and/or software fix for this! Thanks.ġ/22/22 (19 days after this last post) This problem just happened to me again. I just hope I don't have to do full cold reboots every 2 weeks for the rest of this new computers life span. It saddens me I now realize the RTOD is something that is going to plague my build from this point forward. I suspect those units are totally bricked, either fried due to too many header splits on your build or dead upon delivery or other user related install mishaps. This is not for people who got the RTOD after first install and never got it working at all. Please note this only works for people who got the RTOD after everything was working properly already. Once it got back to windows and icue started up, it didn't give me the RTOD like before and my LCD screen options came back within icue. Just like first install you will see the RTOD on the screen until bios posts for the first time, then a lcd corsair boot screen. ![]() You will have to remove the external display to fix the. If the USB-C port cannot provide the power required by the external display, you'll face the issue. ![]() Then switch the psu back on and do boot up. The yellow triangle warning on the battery can result due to an external display attached to the USB-C port of the problematic device. Power down your computer, switch the PSU power toggle off, click power on front of case (to drain any residual power quickly) wait an extra 15-30 seconds just to be sure all energy is 100% drained out of PC. I realized that if that worked, an easier fix is just to do a proper cold reboot (not warm reboot) and it worked! I read on corsair forums some people who had this issue already unplugged the usb header from the mobo and it fixed it. Also note, that when this RTOD was showing, all the LCD related functions were not visible in icue. I knew this had to be a software issue or an error between the usb of the mobo and software. As soon as icue starts it goes back to the error RTOD icon. Side note: when you closed down the icue software, the RTOD vanishes and it goes back to your default hardware gif you installed. I tried restarting the software, did a reboot, reinstalled icue, none of that worked. However, after 2 weeks of ownership, late last night I looked over to check my temps and saw the RTOD (Red Triangle of Death) was on the screen while windows and icue was running. After initial install you see you see the red triangle briefly until Bios posts for first time and then Corsair boot animation kicks in (if it functions correctly). I heard about the Red Triangle of Death before I purchased mine. ![]() As for the Unknown Device, I have no idea what it is or how to find out. This is a little PSA and fix for people who have this issue now or in the future. I read online that the yellow triangle next to AMD Log Utility Driver is just a Windows 7 bug and it works fine. The main thing I'm concerned with is the AMD High Definition Audio Device because I have a TV connected via HDMI cord and sound wont work on it. I just recently installed a new Graphics card and the driver but there's a Yellow triangle with an exclamation point next to AMD High Definition Audio Device along with a couple others in my Device Manager: TV: Samsung, HDMI Cable, 1360 x 768, 30hz
